Introducing the Funky Fish skimboard by Wave Zone. A 2020 new release in keeping with Jeff Shinham’s retro theme during Wave Zone’s 30th year. The board features a swallow tail for a bit more targeted volume than can be found on the Shovel Fish shape of Shinham’s Classic Fish, making it an ideal performer in both small and steep waves. We’ve made it to week four! This marks the shaping of my surfboard, which was a very stressful but rewarding process. I’m extremely grateful for the opportunity to learn from a professional like Jeff. Through learning these skills and techniques my appreciation for the art of shaping and designing boards has grown, and I hope that by experiencing it with me yours can too.

Week three started the shapping of one of my two forms. After some consideration and discussion with Jeff, we decided to begin with the skimboard first.
