Born and raised in Ridley Park, PA, Lisa, is a true Delco girl and Ridley High School alumn.  After graduation from West Chester University, she relocated to Florida and has been on the Gulf Coast since.  

After meeting and marrying Jeff Shinham, together they built the massive business that exists today – Wave Zone Skim & Surf Company.  The business houses Wave Zone Skimboards and Hammer Surf Traction.  Both Lisa and Jeff are fully committed to making and selling only products made in the USA.

In the early years, Lisa worked in the banking industry, handling recruiting, employment and employee relations.  A Human Resource Officer by day and retailer/wholesaler of skimboards nights and weekends.  Though they made the perfect tag team, In 2002, Jeff and Lisa took the plunge.  She left her senior management position, joining Jeff full time in the family business.  

Counted among Lisa’s skills are talent management, strategic planning, marketing and relationship management… all things essential to the front end of the Wave Zone business as it has grown. Laser focus on those areas was essential as a compliment to Jeff’s exceptional skills in design and development to make Wave Zone an industry leader.

Lisa admits that working together and living together is a lot of together. But,  she and Jeff agree that mutual respect is key.  She truly believes that together they shine the brightest.

With a glass raised to Jeff, the Wave Zone Staff, the Wave Zone Skim Team and truly awesome customers, Lisa looks forward to retiring in the coming years and leaving quite a legacy for the future.
